Wednesday's Wedding Poll: Tuxedos

Tonight I was invited to dinner and drinks at Westbury Manor to be part of a small focus group of brides-to-be and Long Island newlyweds!! The dinner is being hosted by a group of people hoping to launch a new website to help brides plan their wedding. I'm so excited to share my opinions and advice, and I'll certainly report back about the event!

In light of the fact that we picked the guys' tuxedos on Monday, and were faced with so many different options, today's poll has to do with tuxedos:

I JUST learned through creating this poll that it's actually cummerbund?? I alllways thought it was cumberbund. Turns out, many people spell it that way, but the actual correct way is cummerbund. Who knew?!

Dad wore a bowtie and a vest. But it was so long ago we actually had to look at the pictures.I like the instant poll results feature.

My fiancé and I are currently discussing this - he (and his groomsmen) will most likely be wearing slacks, a button up shirt, and a skinny tie - keeping it light and simple :)

We did a very simple tux for the boys. Since it was going to be July and HOT we went with a really light tux, and just a vest and tie. I didn't want them to be so hot on the day!

We went back and forth on whether to do tuxedos or not. We got married outside on a ranch in Wyoming in July, so we decided to just go with plain black suits instead. I think it turned out very nice, but I still love the look of a classic black tux!

So our guys won't be wearing tuxes at all... Our theme doesn't call for it... And we prefer they don't. So we're going the nice long sleeved button up shirt route. No ties. No vests. :)
