Wednesday Wedding Survey: How old were you when you met?

This isn't us...
Chris and I met when we were 19 years old. I distinctly remember on my 19th birthday thinking "Wow, my parents met when they were 19, there's NO WAY I'm going to meet my future husband this year". Lo and behold, 5 months later I met Chris, and 5 months after that we were dating! It just goes to show that you never know what's waiting for you around the corner. And so I ask you the same:

Feel free to elaborate in the comments section, and remember to check back here Friday for the results. Also, check out my newest examiner.com article about The Somerly: Long Island's newest wedding venue!

Well, you already told all your fans that we were 19 when we met at Freindly's Ice Cream Shop one summer <3.Then he left for PSU and I left for ESU but we both thought about each other. We met again at a New Year's Eve party and a year later got engaged at the stroke of midnight at the same person's New Year's Eve party.I wrote a song about us if you'd ever like to hear it! Lol!

I was newly 22 and he was 24 when we first met.. perfect ages, in my mind :)

I love stories of people who met in high school or in their teens.. mostly because you have just known the person so long and you go through so many changes in your early 20's, that I really admire those couples that can make it work.

We met and started dating just before I turned 23. Best birthday gift ever! :)

So I was all set to hit the 21-25 button, but then I remembered that I actually MET Mark when I was 19, too, in the fall of my sophomore year and his junior year, in that Romantic Lit class. We didn't start dating until I was 21, but that first meeting counts, I think, since we definitely liked each other. :)

My fiance and I met when we were like 10 or 11 years old... We were pen pals for a long time after, sending letters and school pictures! :) We reconnected in college and the rest is history! Thanks for stopping by My Road to Mrs!! I've added you to my Engaged Friends on my sidebar!

I think I was 22 or 23! That seems so long ago now!

My fiance and I met at 18 during our freshman year of college. After an eight month friendship, we made it official and have been together ever since.

Our wedding date is actually two days before our seven year dating anniversary. Where does the time go?!

This is such a great question! Looks like I'm with the majority having met my guy between 21-25! Love your blog, P.S. About to really steal your "staying organized," tips! Thanks for that!!

Derek and I met in my freshman year of high school right after I had turned 15 (he was 16). We started dating roughly a year later for the next 4 years. Then when we got back together I was 23/he was 24... we got engaged about a year later and the rest is history!

We met our freshman year of high school when we were both 14 - We were babies! We dated all through high school and college and got married in June, exactly 6 and a half years after we started dating. :)

My husband and I met when I was 16 and he was 17 while I was dating this guy who turned out to be his best friend. My husband and I got to be fast friends and after my ex and I had a horrible break up, we started dating 3 months after. It doesn't sound good that I started dating my ex's best friend, but it was unexpected!

I met my husband at a mutual friends wedding. We were both sitting at the "single" table, but the bride was trying to set me up with someone else. Liam got me drunk and made out with me in the back seat of the shuttle van in front of a bunch of strangers! I thought I would never talk to him again because he lived in Atlanta and I lived in VT, but he would not stop calling me. When I told the bride that I was sort of seeing Liam she said "Really, he's so serious and you're so NOT!" I didn't really agree and we got married 4 years and one week later.
