Help us plan our wedding! In light of our cake tasting on Saturday, and not being able to decide on a cake filling. How about you help us?
If you were at a wedding would you want vanilla cake with Cannoli Cream filling, or French Cream filling? French cream, is like a light french vanilla mousse.

I'm sure whatever you choose will be delicious! I voted for Cannoli Cream, though, just because it's a NY wedding, you're going to Italy for the honeymoon, why not do it up :)
French cream is my vote, since as they say, variety is the spice of life! What if a guest doesn't particularly like cannolis? If your cake has cannoli cream, they probably won't like that either and then don't get to enjoy any dessert:( OR....is your cake multiple tiers? You could always have one or two tiers of each filling - then it would be a win/win!
I voted for Cannoli but then dad voted for French Cream which tied the poll.(DANG!) But I vote with Molly--you're both of Italian decent, you're going to Italy for your honeymoon and it it a NYC wedding.I'm not feeling French in any of that!Lol.
I voted for Cannoli, since I'm Italian, but I'm also all for doing a different flavor for each tier. That's what we did, and everyone loved it. We had the cut slices displayed on a table with signs so that everyone could choose.
I agree going with the Italian theme thing..and am leaning toward cannoli myself. But, if we can do different tiers...then I prob. will try and do both. I'm just not sure if that's an option. Plus, the fillings look sooo similar, it might be hard to tell them apart!
I'm not very familiar with cannolis so I went with the French Vanilla which sounds fantastic on its own. For your other question, I'm a 8.20.11 bride and your idea sounds like fun can't wait to hear more!
I voted french cream, mostly because I recall you mentioning that you will also be having cannolis at the wedding. But the cannoli sure would taste yummy!
Our wedding is December 3, 2011 (as of tomorrow, 9 months away!). YAY!
Also, as for your cake...I picked cannoli filling. It's more uncommon and won't taste like every other wedding cake (I feel). Either way though, you can't go wrong. Both sound delish!

I would be happy with either. I voted for the french cream, though, since you're already having the cannolis. I'm all about maximizing yummy desserts!
