It's Wedding Week!

Oh my goodness...it's wedding week! I had one of the longest weekends of my LIFE, but it was good.
Chris somehow managed to make it back from his bachelor party in Montreal alive and well...phew! The boys had a 6-8 hour drive to and from Montreal, so I sent them off with some goodies on Friday:

As many of you may know, Chris and I currently live in an apartment in the basement of his parent's house. However, as of last week, his parents officially moved out to a gorgeous new place two blocks away and we are now in the process of moving upstairs to live in the house! But let me tell you, moving and setting up your life in a "new" place within the same two weeks of your wedding is beyond stressful. Since there was still a lot to do, both for the wedding and the house, my parents came up from Pennsylvania for the weekend and I seriously don't know what I would have done if they didn't come. Chris' parents also helped us out a ton and we got the whole kitchen set up with all of our shower and wedding gifts unpacked and ready to go (won't use any of them till after the wedding though!), the out of town bags completed, and about 98% of my wedding projects done. My goal was to have nothing to think about or do this coming week...but let's be honest...would that really ever happen?

Last week we wanted to eat dinner in our new dining room. But until we get in new carpets, we aren't moving up any furniture, so picnic on the floor it was!

So there is still quite a bit to do...but I'm feeling ready and excited for this week. The only ominous thing? The 5 day forecast!!!! What a beautiful Spring week huh?....not.
Please tell me this is common and will change by the weekend!

5 days!!!!!

So glad we spent the weekend with you. The forecast for Saturday is SUNNY! I have prayed to God about this and She is getting right on it.Teeheehee. You know dad will give you a minute by minute update of the weather for the entire weekend!

The only flaw in spring weddings is the lovely rain. Mine is in APril so I am anticipating that it will rain, but I have accepted this. Although I would rather have it sunny, I will not let a little rain spoil my day (which thankfully is NOT outside) But Ill send good thoughts toward you for sunny days!

WOW! What an exciting (and busy!) time. I wish you a smooth and happy week though and can't wait to see recaps from the days leading up to the wedding, and of course the wedding itself!!! Wish you both all the best from blog land! (love the first meal in the dining room pics hehe)

Wedding week -- YAY! :) I'll keep my fingers crossed the weather clears. Good luck with the move upstairs, and try to not let the stress get to you this week. Just allow yourself to enjoy the excitement!

Yay for moving into a house, but I TOTALLY understand how stressful moving it at the same time as the wedding. I know I can't wait for it all to be over!

All I've heard is to just enjoy every minute, so I'll be thinking of you this week and hope it all goes well! Can't wait to hear all about it!!

Happy Wedding Week to you!! In the spring the weather is so funky and I feel like they call for rain everyday and most of the time it doesn't rain so I'm sure you'll be fine. It rained on my wedding day and actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise so try not to stress too much about the weather and enjoy the week!

I have been told by many people that rain on your wedding day is good luck, so it can't be that bad right? I was in a friend's august wedding last year and it was outside and we kept telling her all day that we didn't care if it was pouring down rain, we would stand outside for her big day. Well, little did we know, it was actually going to be raining when we were out there. We were so soaked by the time the ceremony was over, but it ended up being a great story to tell others. Congrats on the big day!

They've changed the NYC forecast to 30% chance of scattered showers and 74! Looking better!

Aw you're in your new place, eating dinner on the floor! Too cute! Love the pics! How fun you were able to unpack things. I had a good time doing that as well. I spent about 4 hours cleaning out cabinets and putting in all of our new stuff! It felt so nice to have our own stuff! :)

How exciting you're wedding day is fast approaching! I bet you're getting so excited! I hope the weather is wonderful.. even if it's not you'll have a magical day you'll remember forever! :) Enjoy sweetie!

p.s. we had a rain scare 10 days out or so from our wedding day. I kept checking everyday and as the day got closer it had less of a chance, and then on our actual wedding day there was 0% and it was beautiful and sunny! So no stress.. just wait!

The weather is hardly ever right. And even if it does manage to rain? It will still be perfect. Don't fret!!
