James and Maria's Rehearsal Dinner

On Friday September 7, Chris and I rushed off after work to James and Maria's rehearsal at the beautiful St. Barnabas church in Bellmore, New York.

When we arrived, the first order of business was to sign the marriage license.
MOH, Joanna, and BM, Chris, sign the marriage license
And then the rehearsal began. Maria walked down the aisle with a cute little flower to hold as her bouquet.

The rehearsal dinner was right down the street at Paddy's Loft, where we all gathered for great drinks, food and fun!

Mike and Kerry's Wedding Recap: The Rehearsal

Welcome to Mike and Kerry's Wedding Recap WEEK!!
I had MANY people asking me when the heck I would finally recap this wedding, and I understand that there is great demand for this one! So, I've decided the only sensible way to recap it is to start at the very beginning and recap for a whole week! This is not to take away from any of the amaaazing weddings we've been to over the past few years. It's just that Chris and I were so involved in this particular wedding, and I've gotten much better about my documenting and blogging over the years.

Friday, September 23 was their Rehearsal/Reahearsal Dinner: We arrived at the church (the same one Chris and I got married at just 4 months ago!) on Friday night ready to rehearse and then to eat!
It was rainy and humid out, but better to have that for the rehearsal than the actual wedding day! (Which ended up being exactly what happened).

Next, it was off to dinner at Trinity Restaurant! Kerry and Alyssa arranged all the centerpieces themselves, and also printed off the adorable menu cards!
Here is Chris with the happy coupe: He's probably saying something inappropiate about marriage...something along the lines of "You can still back out...are you sure you want to do this? Marriage isn't all it's cracked up to be...etc. etc." harr harrr harrr

After that, all the girls were off to the hotel where we were spending the night with Kerry and waking up bright and early for hair and makeup the next day at 9am!!

Wedding Recap: The Rehearsal

**
Finally onto our rehearsal!! The day before our wedding on May 20th, we had the rehearsal at our church. I want to give a special thanks to Kyle for taking all these pictures during the rehearsal!

As I already wrote, me and the ladies had some nice afternoon Mani/pedis with a side of Champagne near my house. Afterward, we went back to my place and had just enough time to quickly change and head over to the church for our 7:00pm rehearsal. We were greeted by all our closest friends and their significant others at the church.

We first talked with Father Dulaney and walked through a bit of the ceremony.

After we went over some things, it was time to start our full on rehearsal and I lined up our bridal party. Remember the tissue paper flowers I made in this post? Well, I did take what many of you suggested and made little bouquets for my bridesmaids to carry down the aisle for the rehearsal.

I love this picture of all the girls holding their tissue paper flower bouquets. I used these again the next day for decor at the house.

Then it was my turn to walk down the aisle with both Dad AND Mom!
We listened to the readers to their thang:

The boys were very serious:

I love this picture: Me looking wistfully into the church, Chris looking at me, and his brother smugly looking at us in the background.

The rehearsal continues...do you? do you? Then this, then that...yadda yadda...something funny happened here...

I think I look overwhelmed and worried in all of these pictures!

And we're done!
Kiss Kiss!
After the rehearsal we hung around for a bit all catching up, talking to Father Dulaney and making sure everything was set before we headed off to our rehearsal dinner!!
