James and Maria's Rehearsal Dinner

On Friday September 7, Chris and I rushed off after work to James and Maria's rehearsal at the beautiful St. Barnabas church in Bellmore, New York.

When we arrived, the first order of business was to sign the marriage license.
MOH, Joanna, and BM, Chris, sign the marriage license
And then the rehearsal began. Maria walked down the aisle with a cute little flower to hold as her bouquet.

The rehearsal dinner was right down the street at Paddy's Loft, where we all gathered for great drinks, food and fun!

Mike and Kerry's Wedding Recap: The Rehearsal

Welcome to Mike and Kerry's Wedding Recap WEEK!!
I had MANY people asking me when the heck I would finally recap this wedding, and I understand that there is great demand for this one! So, I've decided the only sensible way to recap it is to start at the very beginning and recap for a whole week! This is not to take away from any of the amaaazing weddings we've been to over the past few years. It's just that Chris and I were so involved in this particular wedding, and I've gotten much better about my documenting and blogging over the years.

Friday, September 23 was their Rehearsal/Reahearsal Dinner: We arrived at the church (the same one Chris and I got married at just 4 months ago!) on Friday night ready to rehearse and then to eat!
It was rainy and humid out, but better to have that for the rehearsal than the actual wedding day! (Which ended up being exactly what happened).

Next, it was off to dinner at Trinity Restaurant! Kerry and Alyssa arranged all the centerpieces themselves, and also printed off the adorable menu cards!
Here is Chris with the happy coupe: He's probably saying something inappropiate about marriage...something along the lines of "You can still back out...are you sure you want to do this? Marriage isn't all it's cracked up to be...etc. etc." harr harrr harrr

What happened so far:

I gave my girls their gifts and you can ENTER TO WIN A BRIDESMAID TOTEBAG HERE:

Now, onto the actual rehearsal dinner!

Our Rehearsal Dinner was held at Rollin' Greens Bar and Tavern, which is right down the street from us. We had a buffet dinner of penne al la vodka, sausage and peppers, eggplant rollatini, and chicken francaise. The whole night was pretty much mingling, drinking, and eating as I bounced between friends, family, and chris' family. All the while still running through lists in my head and really just wanting to sleep...I was overwhelmed to say the least.

James, Ben and Smithers!

For dessert, Chris's mom got us a napoleon cake which was a total hit! If you've never had a napoleon, try and order one the next time you're at an Italian bakery. It will change your life!

We gave out our gifts, danced to the macarena, did a kickline, and I was home and in bed by 2:00....while I think half of our bridal party still remained at the bar drinking until much later!
The last picture of us before we become husband and wife!
