The End of the World is Coming!

The end of the world is coming...and it also happens to be our wedding day! I don't know if this is everywhere, or just New York City, but almost every day...I get bombarded with signs like this:

I get handed out brochures as I'm leaving the subway:

Isn't it great to have a constant reminder that the world is ending on my wedding day? It's just wonderful to be greeted with these signs each morning and night as I commute to and from work. I first discovered this doomsday date last year when I googled "May 21, 2011" and a whole slew of terrible results came up:

Thankfully, I don't really believe the end of the world is coming. So all I can do when faced with these little reminders is giggle, shake my head, and walk on. If nothing else...these brochures might make a great addition to our out of town bags!

...Just kidding.
