My bouquet toss was quick and something I literally added that evening. I hadn't planned on doing it, mostly because I felt like most of my friends there were either married, engaged, or in long-term relationships. But when some of my bridesmaids found out that it wasn't on the agenda, they convinced me to do it. After all...it is tradition, I had a throw bouquet from the florist, and if enough girls were interested in participating....why not?
So before the wedding I told Gus, our band leader, that I would like to do the bouquet toss. He announced it right before it was time to cut our cake: Here I am gearin' up for the toss:
The girls get ready!
Look at that form!! Totally Matrix:
Look at that determination! Look at Maria (black and white dress) in the background!
In the end, my Bridesmaid, Mallory, wins the bouquet!! I think she had an extra spring in her step with those kicks on!
Did/Will you throw the bouquet? Was there anything you added last minute that you're glad you added?

Oh what memories when I think of my bouquet toss. Aunt Anita caught it, her boyfriend caught the garter. They went their separate ways in life and 20 something years later I have his daughter in my class! OMG! How funny is that?
That looks like fun :) Glad you decided to do it. We did it, as literally the last thing before we left the reception!
I did the bouquet toss and am so glad! It ended up being such an awesome moment, where my bridesmaid totally dove for it and got so excited. I can't remember anything we hadn't planned to do that we added, but that's mostly because I was ready to pack it all in anyway. LOL!
Fantastic photos! Think I'll definitely be doing one too!
Aw! I wish I had photos of my toss. I loved it.
those b-maids kicks are pretty springy!
:) Fun fun! I did throw my bouquet. We didn't do a garter toss... I've mentioned before my hubs isn't in to being the center of attention if he doesn't have to be. And I'm glad we DIDN'T add it. It wasn't missed at all but made the hubs more comfortable.
I didn't do one because I only had like two friends at my wedding that were still unmarried and didn't want to put them on the spot. That's the one bad thing about getting married when your 30 not as many single friends :) But on the plus side it left more time for dancing/drinking.
You all look so organised.
I didn't do this as I think it's become less common in the UK over recent years. I had my Mum put my bouquet on my Grandad's grave.
We are not doing many traditional things in our wedding, so we wont be doing the bouquet toss..I am a little afraid that I will regret not doing some of these things to get the guests "involved" in the wedding. I love Mallorys kicks by the way!
