Today is my last day of work until June 7th!! I haven't taken a vacation from work (other than some days around the holidays) since Chris and I got engaged in July 2009!! I am so freaking excited to have some time off!! I'm feeling pretty caught up on my work after a really long week and a half of being swamped. My boss has been extremely understanding and excited for me, for which I am so grateful. My whole office gave Chris and me a very generous wedding gift on Monday. It was completely unexpected and so very appreciated, it reminded me how much happier I am at this new job that I've been at since August.
I've been sort of up and down with emotions this week. First of all...all these new google commercials make me cry at the drop of a hat. Did you see the one where the Dad writes emails to his daughter from the day she was born and will one day share all the things he's been writing and keeping track of with her? It's the most beautiful commercial ever. I saw it last night and cried for about 5 minutes after it was over. Yea...it's that kind of week. Many of my friends have told me that even though they are emotional people, when it came down to their day, they were too excited and caught up in the moment to cry. Personally, I feel like this will be me. I cry at everything else, but put me in the actual scenario that I'm supposed to be crying at and I've got nothing. But then again, I've never been a Bride before..so who really knows??
So I'm curious: Did/Will you cry at your wedding?
3 daysss!!! My tracker on the upper right is def. off a little right? It's freaking me out!

I didn't cry at my own wedding. I was too busy going through the ceremony, taking pictures and dancing my fool head off at the reception. But I think it will be very different as the MOB. But like you said, who knows. I've never been a MOB before! But I haven't cried or been emotional at all this week! HA!JKJKJKK!!!
Me too! Im the same way, when I got engaged I thought I was going to cry but didnt, the moment when by so fast so maybe because the wedding is longer i will?
I'm guessing I'll cry. I'm like you, I cry at the drop of a hat. Weddings on TV? Oh, I'm sobbing. So I /think/ I'll cry, but we'll see. I heard the emotions run higher at the rehearsal, so maybe I'll get all the tears out then and be fine for the day of haha
oh my gosh i love that google commercial... i saw it while at work and started crying too haha
i definitely keep envisioning myself crying as i walk down the aisle, crying as i read my vows, crying through communion, crying during the dinner speeches and then weeping when i dance with my dad... UGH! while it's great and totally natural to show emotions i really CANNOT cry..my eyes get beat red and i get completely stuffed up.. i'd be a mess ALL day! i cry at the moment i see the bride next to her father the moment the doors open for her to walk down the aisle... i truly wonder how it will be on the reverse end of it... i cried walking down the aisle as a freakin flower girl when i was 7! LOL
Friday is MY last day of work and I return on June 13... it's going to be AMAZING having all this time off! next week i imagine i will be an emotional basketcase as i write out my cards and really reflect on what will be happening as each day gets closer to the wedding!
pack some tissues in your purse on the day of along with red eye drops and some extra makeup! haha
I'm like you. I cry at everything else, but in the moment, nothing. I got teary-eyed while walking down the aisle, but other than that, cool as a cucumber. And that's awesome about your work friends giving you a gift and especially about the time off!
I don't cry very often, I got a bit teary right before I walked down the aisle but that was it, I guess I was too excited/nervous/busy to cry. My husband on the other hand...totally different story. haha
Girl, I'm right there with you. I was SO emotional and cried a lot during our engagement, especially the week before. But wouldn't you know on the day of our wedding I didn't cry at all! I was just hapy and nervous and anxious.. just so many emotions but tears did not fall! I actually wanted to cry! lol I wanted Daniel to cry too but he didn't either. It was the strangest thing! :)
I voted that I don't know.. because I'm the same way as you! I'll cry at pretty much anything, but when it comes to the "appropriate" time to cry? Generally, there's nothing. It'll hit me like a day later, and I'll start bawling. I kind of hope I don't cry on our wedding day thought (but I'm betting I will).. ugly cry face is not good for pictures, lol!
WOW only 3 more days, Bridey! :) I am so glad your new co-workers and boss are so supportive. That is just lovely that they are so wonderful...and normal. What a concept!
I'm betting you won't cry - I think its one thing to imagine yourself being up there, and its another ballgame to actually be up there. I am sure you will be gorgeous and lovely no matter what you do. Just try to avoid the ugly cry, know what I mean?
Man... I just don't know! I cry just thinking about things related to the wedding. I cry when I hear our aisle walk song... I cry when I think of my father daughter dance... But I really hope to just be so caught up and happy that I won't cry at the wedding... We'll see! Congrats again!!!
I did not cry. Adam, however, was a big blubbering mess. It was so sweet. I did have a moment when I teared up because my cousins were bawling as we were talking about our Uncle who had a stroke two weeks prior & that got all of us. Otherwise I was just happy & smiles.
Oh my goodness your wedding is practically here! I have yet to go to a wedding where the bride cries. I think it depends if you write your own vows or not. (I watch too much wedding tv I think!)
I cry at everythinggggg. Sometimes I cry thinking about our wedding, so if I don't cry at the wedding, I'll be SHOCKED.
I'm leaving for my bachelorette this weekend and probably won't be online much this weekend so I just wanted to say have an AMAZING weekend! I'm sure it's going to be a blast. And can't wait to hear all about it!
i'm definitely with you. i cry or get teary at commercials in general, but i can't even imagine how i'll be when it gets really close to the wedding. also, everyone else has been crying (like mathew's mom and my mom when seeing me in my dress or the save the dates or when we got engaged) and i haven't. i kinda think the crying is just going to sneak up on me on the wedding day and i'll do the whole ugly cry thing. i seriously hope though i don't have an ugly cry at the wedding. i get all splotchy and gross looking. hopefully you'll be nice and relaxed the day of your wedding (which OMGOSH is in 2 days!) and you won't cry if you don't want to :)
I'm usually not a crier but lately when I hear the wedding songs or something that makes me picture my own wedding of my father walking me down the aisle or my grooms face when he sees me for the first time walking down the aisle definitely make me tear up just thinking about it!
Congrats married lady! I wanted to cry from stress/overwhelming emotion the afternoon before the wedding, but didn't. I ended up tearing up right before the aisle and as I walked down (which is when I always cry at weddings anyway). That's it. Can't wait to see more! I love that you have all of these posts set up. I wanted to do that, but didn't get around to it.

You're so close!!!!
I didn't cry at our wedding. I'm not really a crier though. A lot of OTHER people cried at our wedding though :)

Google commercials, we don't get those in Britain :(
Like you I don't know if I'll cry.

Looking forward to Saturday!!!
I am so excited for you! I cried as soon as I made it to the end of the aisle.
No cyring here. We both had a moment where tears were possible but mostly we were all smiles and giggles standing next to each other.

your day is almost here! i think tears/emotions come along for the ride for ANYONE?! right?!
and that google commercial made me cry, too! it's so sweet!!! ;)

Aw! Whatever happens, happens crying or not! You'll be beautiful and Chris will be your husband?
I couldn't blame you for blubbery nor for being too excited to cry.
I hope I turn out as the latter but I know I'll cry a bunch!
