I have heard of people cutting it into 12 pieces and have a piece once a month on your monthly anniversaries - thought that was a cute idea as well, esp if you have limited freezer space and/or a big top tier!https://www.blogger.com/profile/16425238115365340973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274048555549093594.post-73013505056844891552011-12-08T13:44:16.919-05:002011-12-08T13:44:16.919-05:00i cannot wait to eat my wedding cake in five month...i cannot wait to eat my wedding cake in five months!Mrs. Pancakeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03441934318368344653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274048555549093594.post-76766847028532109962011-12-08T10:45:17.991-05:002011-12-08T10:45:17.991-05:00My cake topper was "lost" until we took ...My cake topper was "lost" until we took our cake OUT of the freezer! The dumb venue put it in the freezer box... nice! We had about 3 days to get that done because we left for SD like, Monday I think.
Glad that melting freezer didn't ruin anything. Leaving the next day is tough! I still wish we could have avoided an 8 a.m. flight the morning after our wedding, but with the schedule for our cruise, it was the only way.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13226523010102160874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274048555549093594.post-57865729374028746792011-12-07T12:34:00.131-05:002011-12-07T12:34:00.131-05:00We saved a chunk of one of our sheet cakes. They said that if we come back they will make us a new top tier on our 1 year anniversary so that it is fresh. I definitely agreed with them. And like you said, it takes up so much room that at some point I would just get frustrated with it and I would probably end up pulling it out, haha!Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10084599747416359775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274048555549093594.post-82501406839257256092011-12-07T10:30:32.810-05:002011-12-07T10:30:32.810-05:00Since we had cupcakes (that were totally obliterat...Since we had cupcakes (that were totally obliterated), we did not save our wedding cake. I was thinking of getting a small cake from our baker as a suprise for Matt for our 1st anniversary. We'll be in Cincinnati the week before for another friend's wedding.

Who unplugs someone's freezer without telling them?Anne @strawberryjampackedlifehttp://strawberryjampackedlife.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274048555549093594.post-30568497169758002912011-12-07T08:32:51.350-05:002011-12-07T08:32:51.350-05:00I really like the idea of saving only a few slices...I really like the idea of saving only a few slices instead of the entire cake. Well, we got to have one slice and then forgot to bring it with us when we moved, so my parents ate the rest of it. Our bakery will (supposedly) supply us with a duplicate of the top tier of our wedding cake for free for the 1 year anniversary, so here's hoping that's true! Otherwise my parents ate my wedding cake!Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04359171971118766218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274048555549093594.post-38376867992317830762011-12-07T05:54:30.964-05:002011-12-07T05:54:30.964-05:00Yes, we froze the top of our wedding cake but it w...Yes, we froze the top of our wedding cake but it wasn't as big as yours.
